Drones are definitely getting more and more popular lately.

What about drones and where can we find them? I want to start this article by saying that drones (unmanned drones) are allowed in most places such as public parks, residential areas, or even at the airport.

Nowadays drones allow us to take snapshots from stunning angles which were simply not possible in the past.

So drones are allowed, but where can you not fly drones?

Drones are not allowed in certain areas such as army bases, prisons or airports.

Army bases usually have drones for military purposes so do prisons which use drones to monitor their prisoners.

Airports are dangerous for drones because of the planes taking off and landing there all day long. This is why drones are banned at airports. Your drone could get hit by a plane and it could be very serious! That’s why drones should always be banned (or charged!) at airports and airfields and we advise you to follow this rule when planning your next trip with your drone(s).

Are drones allowed near airports?

Yes, you can fly your drone near an airport but make sure that it is outside the 5-7 nautical miles of distance around the airport. It’s also advised to notify the air traffic control about your flight if they inform you to do so.

If you don’t follow their instructions then they might ground or shoot down your drone which could be very dangerous for both people and property!
